GeoTextiles

GeoTextile is a polymer fabric that is permeable and used to improve soil properties. They are the foundation of numerous projects in civil engineering.

Woven Geotextile

Woven GeoTextiles are made from a synthetic polymer that, like so many other fabrics, are woven together. Having high tensile strength and load capacity. Fundamentally, woven GeoTextiles are better when you want something both sturdy and durable. For example, several streets and parking garages are constructed on top of a woven GeoTextile. The fabric maintains the earth in position, restricting any movement and making a steady base for the construction on top of it. With that said, woven fabrics are used for their toughness. This makes the GeoTextiles remarkably impenetrable. This implies they can hold water, instead of absorbing and filtering.

Non-Woven GeoTextile

Non-Woven Geotextiles are less expensive to make, have shorter life expectancies, and do nothing to strengthen or sustain the soil. What they're extraordinary at in any case, is filtering water. These fabrics quickly absorb water and spread it across a horizontal direction, eliminating the impact of water damage. For this factor, non-woven GeoTextiles are frequently required for water-proofing, soil-erosion control, dam construction, golf construction.

Non-Woven Geotextile enhances the performance and design life of granular layers by providing the separation & filtration function.

Provide an effective solution to the problem of constructing a stable granular layer over soft foundation soils. When a stone is placed directly on a soft subgrade, the imposed load often causes intermixing of two layers. This results in the concentration of the stone layer and a resulting loss in bearing strength, surface rutting, and deformation at the sub-base/ subgrade interface.

It provides protection from the ingress of fines into the drainage.

GeoGrid is a polymeric material made up of many polymers like polyethylene, polyvinyl alcohol polypropylene, etc. It is one of the most important inventions in geosynthetics which is used as a reinforcing material. They formed by joining intersecting ribs. They have large open spaces in between the ribs known as 'apertures'.

GeoGrids can be classified into two layers based on the stress transfer or direction of stretching during manufacture as-

1) Uniaxial GeoGrid: It is stretched only along a longitudinal direction. Thus the stress is transferred only along that axis; even the tensile strength is more in longitudinal direction compared to the transverse direction.

2) Biaxial GeoGrid: It is stretched along with two directions (longitudinal and transverse), thus the stress is equally distributed along with both directions.

Features:

promote soil stabilization.

are flexible in nature and are well known for their versatility.

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Geomembrane liners are used in a wide range of containment applications.

It is available in smooth, textured, and conductive in high-temperature variations.

HDPE Geomembrane provides excellent durability and chemical resistance properties and is reliable in exposed applications, offering great UV protection and ageing resistance from the intense stresses of weather.

The best thing about HDPE Geomembrane is that it can be easily moulded and welded together.

We offer Polyethylene liners (HDPE & LLDPE) that are resistant to chemicals and puncture. HDPE is available in standard 22' wide rolls and in thickness from 20 to 120 mils and higher. Finish options include textured on one or both sides or Smooth.

GeoComposites consist of a combination of geotextile and geogrid, or geogrid and geomembrane, or geogrid and geotextile and geomembrane, or any one of these three materials with another material.

GeoComposites are used in construction and civil engineering applications for drainage applications. Drainage is defined as the collection and transportation of rainwater, groundwater, or other fluids such as leachates and gases.

GeoComposite drainage systems are being increasingly used as a more effective and economical alternative to traditional granular based solutions.

Geonet is high-density polyethylene (HDPE), biaxial produced in thickness ranging from 150 to 300 mils. It functions as a filter fabric and retains sand particles or concrete, while still allowing the water to pass through the net. They work very well on Steepened slopes and is less expensive. They also handle heavy loads and can be used in the most extreme cases where compression resistance is critical.

Geocomposite Applications:

SRW (Segmental Retaining Wall) Drainage

Geo Cells are three-dimensional honeycomb cellular structures that form a confinement system when filled with compacted soils, sand aggregate concrete, and other fill materials. It is extruded from high-density polypropylene strips that are ultrasonically welded in series, the strips are expanded to form stiff (textured and perforated) walls of a flexible 3-d cellular mattress.

Geo Cells are compartment containers that can be used as a load transfer platform and are joined together to form a stiff foundation.

Geo Cells are effective in soil, especially where the heavy loading is expected.

The confinement effect of Geo Cell improves the shear strength of granular soil.

The open surface design and high internal void volume of drainage cells enable the rapid capture and transport of high water volumes, the roots of plants and grass can take this water through capillary action and will help in the growth of these plants.

Geo Cell prevents the lateral spreading of soil on the application of load which enables the strength and stiffness property of the soft soil.

GeoCell Applications:

Permanent Erosion Control

Retention/Detention Pond

SRW (Segmental Retaining Wall)

Bridge Abutments
